Program evaluation and performance measurement are two big areas that public administration professionals should be converservant with and have appropriate quantitative skills. 1. Do you believe that systems of performance measurement are useful and should be widely adopted in the US government service and businesses? Why or why not?2. In the work place are performance management systems implemented? What is value and effectiveness of such systems/approaches in the work setting?3. Do you think the US government should embark on a widescale and comprehensive adoption of performance measurement system? Why, why not?4. If you were a performance management czar and had special powers, what would be some key metrics and KPS you would propose for the US Dept. of Labor?
