In this third stage, please consider your strengths and weaknesses in your personality. Knowing your own strengths and weaknesses gives you a better understanding of yourself and how you function – as a leader, follower, and team member. Consider what makes you unique. Keep in mind that strengths are not always talents. You may have a natural talent for writing or playing basketball, but what makes you unique is that you display a willingness to continually grow, or display grit and resiliency in the face of adversity. These traits generally can be acquired.

Other examples could include moral strengths such as integrity, honesty or empathy. Being able to identify both your strengths and weaknesses is a valuable tool – especially when it comes to leadership. Successful leaders develop their strengths and manage their weaknesses. You might consider completing a self-assessment to identify your strengths or ask others that know you well (assessment by others). Consider who you are and who you want to become, what is important to you and what you want your legacy to be, and what you are most passionate about.

Individual Profile Project
Each student will research and have at least four quality sources/references for this project. Sources are defined as major periodicals or major books from well-known authors. In-class materials, textbooks, and Internet sources may be used in the paper, but they do not qualify as one of the four required outside sources. All sources must be documented as required by the APA handbook for proper formatting. In addition to the four sources, the paper must include at least one objective personality profile or personality assessment like the Meyers/Briggs, DiSC, Hershey/Blanchard model, etc.Click on the icon at the top right corner to show interactive elements within the image.
To prepare for the core assessment project, create a running document to keep track of notes and sources throughout the course by using headings for each required section to be completed throughout the course:
